Sera x Morito Present: THE TABANCO

Sunday, Sept 27th, 2026

32 Exmouth Market, London EC1R 4QE

£55

On Sunday 27 September, Sera & Morito present The Tabanco. Sam and Sam Clark are turning Morito on Exmouth Market into a sherry bar of the old Andalusian kind: tapas, sherry, live flamenco, and a room eating on its feet the way it's done in Jerez.

If Sam and Sam had a sherry bar, this is what it would look like.

INTRODUCING THE TABANCO

In the sherry triangle, between Jerez, Sanlúcar de Barrameda and El Puerto de Santa María, the old taverns are called tabancos. Sherry comes straight from the barrel, tapas come over the counter, there's flamenco in the corner, and nobody's leaving any time soon. It's the drinking and eating culture the Sams have been cooking for nearly thirty years, and for one Sunday they're bringing it to Exmouth Market.

There are two sessions, 1pm to 4pm and 5pm to 8pm. Your ticket covers unlimited tapas, each one served with a taste of the sherry; from fino through to Pedro Ximénez. This is a standing, grazing, glass-in-hand afternoon with some seats around the edges: come with friends, and eat everything.

SAM & SAM CLARK

Sam and Sam Clark both cooked at the River Café before marrying, buying a camper van and driving through Spain and Morocco to the Sahara. They came back and opened Moro on Exmouth Market in 1997, the restaurant that brought the cooking of Spain and the Moorish Mediterranean to London and has stayed at the top of the city's eating lists for nearly three decades. In 2010 they opened Morito. They know this food and drink as well as anyone in the country.

THE FOOD

The kitchen will be sending out the greatest hits of the sherry triangle: from, mojama and fried quail's egg montaditos, tortillitas de camarones, the lacy prawn fritters of Cádiz, with manzanilla, oloroso crab montaditos, chicharrones with amontillado, and to finish, málaga raisin ice cream with a pour of Pedro Ximénez over the top.

This event is suitable for vegetarians, with some highlights including artichoke fritters, oyster mushroom and manchego pinchos, and fried aubergines with caña de miel.
