For one Sunday only, Hélène Darroze brings a taste of Paris to Mayfair, at The Connaught Hotel.

Known around the world as one of France’s most celebrated chefs, Hélène Darroze holds six Michelin stars across her restaurants: three at The Connaught in London, two at Marsan in Paris, and one at Villa La Coste in Provence. Her cooking is deeply personal, rooted in the traditions of Southwest France, guided by intuition, emotion, and the pursuit of pleasure.

Born in Villeneuve-de-Marsan, Hélène grew up surrounded by the aromas and rhythm of a family restaurant. After studying at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Bordeaux, she joined Alain Ducasse at the legendary Louis XV in Monaco.

For this special occasion on 23 November, Hélène opens the doors of her London home to welcome another side of her world, Joia, her beloved Parisian bistro. Set in the heart of the 2nd arrondissement, Joia is a vibrant and easy-going space where her cooking takes on a more relaxed form: comforting French classics, seasonal vegetables, generous sauces, and dishes meant to be shared. “It is the kind of food I would serve to my friends and family,” Hélène says.

For one afternoon only, Joia is coming to The Connaught. Expect the warmth of a Paris Sunday lunch, rustic plates passed around the table, deep flavours drawn from Hélène’s heritage, and that unmistakable feeling of being both in one of London’s most refined dining rooms and in someone’s home.
