Sera x Farang: 'Thai' Sunday Roast
On Sunday, 9 November, Sebby Holmes and Farang bring a Thai twist to Britain’s most loved ritual, the Sunday Roast.
Farang, has long been one of London’s favourite neighbourhood restaurants, known for its vibrant, generous cooking and Sebby’s instinctive approach to Thai flavours. A former chef at Smoking Goat and The Begging Bowl, Sebby opened Farang in 2016 with the aim of capturing the heart of Thai cooking through British ingredients and produce. His food is big, bold, and full of soul.
This collaboration marks the first time Farang opens its doors for Sunday lunch, transforming the classic roast into something warmer, spicier, and distinctly its own. Expect slow-braised meats, fragrant curries, and sauces that balance heat, smoke, and sweetness, all served in Farang’s easy, communal style. Plates arrive to share, drinks flow freely, and the afternoon stretches the way a good Sunday should.
There’s a sense of play throughout, a roast seen through Thai eyes. Familiar comforts meet unexpected touches, like a golden roti “Yorkshire pudding” brushed with scallop roe butter, or the sweetness of tamarind and coconut closing the meal.
A one-off celebration of everything that makes both traditions special: the generosity of a Sunday table, the brightness of Thai cooking, and the spirit of Farang.
Due to the unique nature of this event, we are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions. Tickets are non-refundable, and optional service is charged on the day.
