Hard Hat: The Latimer
The Spiteri family has spent decades shaping the way London eats. Jon Spiteri was an original partner at St. John with Fergus Henderson, The French House, and later at Sessions Arts Club. Melanie Arnold co-founded Rochelle Canteen, one of the most quietly influential restaurants of the last twenty years. Their sons Lorcan and Fin are the duo behind Caravel. Their daughter Molly leads business development at Koya.
Together, they are opening The Latimer, a neighbourhood pub on Latimer Road in West London. The site has history - it was for many years a local institution that counted members of The Clash and Blur among its regulars. The family are bringing a little bit of that magic back. The kind of pub that takes food seriously without forgetting it's a pub.
On 17 April, @7pm before the doors open to the public, friends or family, Sera brings a small group inside for dinner.
The menu begins with snacks on arrival, before moving to potato churros with cod's roe and paprika, grilled asparagus with herb sauce, and cider braised pork belly skewers with apple sauce. Mains are grilled bream with baked fennel, olives, anchovy and aioli, venison haunch with celeriac and purple sprouting broccoli. Amaretti crumble, custard and rhubarb to finish.
Due to the unique nature of this event, we are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions or menu substitutions. Tickets are non-refundable, and optional service will be charged on the night.
