On Sunday 29 March, Bubala does NYC Brunch.

An ode to New York City, and the feeling that makes its brunch culture so special, done the Bubala way.

This is not about recreating a menu or pinning things to a single neighbourhood. It is about the rhythm. Late mornings that drift into the afternoon. Tables full of plates. Comfort, generosity, and food designed for sharing. The kind of brunch you ease into and leave later than planned.

Bubala is known for bold, vegetable led cooking inspired by Middle Eastern and Eastern Mediterranean flavours, filtered through a distinctly London lens. Playful without being precious, comforting without losing edge. For this event, that same instinct is applied to the way New York does brunch.

The menu leans into familiar NYC brunch touchpoints, reworked the Bubala way. Mini bagels come generously loaded with chopped egg salad and amba, cream cheese with jalapeño shatta and avocado, or smashed falafel finished with tahini and sumac onions. For the table, expect plates made for sharing, from eggplant and curry leaf rugelach to a crisp wedge salad and house dill pickles.

For mains, guests choose from Bubala’s take on brunch classics. Fried latkes topped with poached eggs and amba hollandaise, a NYC style carrot dog with everything seasoning fries, or babka French toast finished with raw tahini, date syrup, and yoghurt. Indulgent, comforting food that still feels unmistakably Bubala.

This is Bubala celebrating the spirit of NYC brunch without imitation. A New York idea, cooked their way.

Like all Sera events, you may be seated with other members on the day. Given the one-off nature of the event we are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions, or menu substitutions on the day. Each sitting is 90 minutes long.
